Product or Product Category Evaluation Criteria are developed when a manufacturer submits a new technology or innovation that has not been addressed in the model codes. Criteria are developed through a robust public review process, including a final vote by a committee of code officials. These criteria keep the product evaluations relevant to the needs of the consumers and the construction industry.
